First Aid Training For The Public

public-trainingIf you’re not prepared to handle medical emergencies and your family member or friends are left untreated until an ambulance arrives, a victim’s condition may worsen and injuries can become far more debilitating.

Teaching techniques

We cater for all learning styles by using a combination of teaching techniques that include

  • DVD support (video footage)
  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Instructional Posters
  • Skills demonstration and practice
  • Scenarios using props
  • Moulage (fake injuries)
  • Class discussions and Q&A

We have found that students learn more easily and have greater success when they get hands-on experience using realistic props.

Practical hands-on components are supported by a variety of training materials, based on course requirements, such as mannequins for CPR, AED (Automated External Defibrillator) trainers, bandages, splinting materials, barrier devices, first aid kits, auto-injector trainers and inhalers.

Our Instructors

Our courses are taught by certified Red Cross First Aid Instructors who can tailor the course based on class composition. Our instructors bring a wealth of personal experience to their courses and their use of real life examples will make your first aid class entertaining and memorable.
